May 2026 Annual Luncheon

During this annual Membership Luncheon, COAJ recognized its leadership transition for the 2026–2027 term, honored past Presidents during the Changing of the Guard Ceremony, and presented annual awards and student scholarships.

Outgoing President Will Nesbitt welcomed attendees and later presented incoming President Mark Troutman with the ceremonial gavel. Incoming President Mark Troutman also presented Will Nesbitt with the Gavel Plaque in recognition of his service and leadership as President. COAJ Past President Jami Oliver presided over the Swearing In Ceremony of the 2026–2027 Officers and Directors, including Mark Troutman as President, John Markus as Vice President, and Sarah Buckley as First Year Director. Also, Geoff Jones will serve as Treasurer and Katy Brewer will serve as Second Year Director, however, they could not be in attendance.

Annual awards were presented throughout the luncheon, including the George E. Tyack Award of Excellence to Judge Jaiza Page, the President’s Award to Mark Troutman, and the Norma J. Mitchell Award to Amy Harper. Drew Russell accepted the Outstanding Citizen Award on behalf of her daughter, Avery, of Avery’s Law. COAJ also recognized this year’s scholarship recipients, Jordan Kulis of Capital University Law School and Regina Egan of The Ohio State University Law School.

Megan Rogers of Platinum Sponsor Spectrum Reporting provided remarks during the luncheon, and COAJ Past Presidents were recognized during the annual Changing of the Guard Ceremony.
